Kitchen renovation cost is easier to compare when cabinetry, worktops, appliances and room work each have their own quantities and supply responsibilities.
Four schedules make a kitchen quote readable
Record width, depth, height, door finish, carcass, drawers, hinges and accessories. Confirm whether a run includes gaps for appliances; compare the actual cabinet schedule, not one price per kitchen.
List fabrication, visible edges, sink and hob cut-outs, joints, upstands, delivery and installation. Ask whether the supplier measures purchased slabs or finished surface area.
Identify who supplies each appliance, its delivery date and whether installation, connection and any cabinets or panels around it are included.
Price flooring, splashback, decoration, outlets, plumbing and extraction changes separately. Describe what will be retained after the old kitchen is removed.
Worked arithmetic: cabinet runs are separate
Assume 4 metres of specified base units at an invented AED 1,000/m and 3 metres of specified wall units at an invented AED 700/m. Those cabinet lines total (4 × 1,000) + (3 × 700) = AED 6,100. These are made-up calculation inputs, not market prices or company rates.
A worktop, tall unit, appliance housing and pull-out mechanism still need their own lines unless explicitly included. If a quotation bundles them, request the included dimensions and products. Use the same schedule when asking for a different door finish so the price difference reflects that finish change.
Compare an upgrade with a replacement
